Last weekend I decided that the edges of the flower beds needed a little tlc so after an hour or so tidying I decided that the borders could do with some bark, I always think that it looks good and adds a little order and neatness to the area, the side garden has been cleaned of debris and is now ready for a little work, after the winter and a few months of rain, the dog has made the side garden a mud patch,.
A good dig over and it will be ready for new turf, it is not a large area so the amount needed is not huge and the work involved is not too scary, the problem will be keeping the pets off it. The side garden is really there purely for aethestic reasons with it being so small it is not often used but I like to keep it tidy and smart and therefore do not mind putting the work to keep it so, I have been holding off until the weather evens out and am now ready to lay the new turf. Spring is almost here and a few flowers are already raising their heads so colour is coming back into the garden.
